Position Type

  • Project-based contractor role

  • Hybrid, Toronto / GTA based

  • Temporary contract for the RexyWear Dog Fashion Show at the National Women’s Show Toronto 2026

  • Not a full-time permanent position

Estimated Time Commitment

  • Approximately 60 to 95 hours, including event coverage across all three days, daily montage edits, edited photos, raw file delivery, and final recap video.

Compensation

  • Project fee to be quoted by applicant based on the required deliverables, portfolio, experience, equipment, and final agreed scope.

  • Applicants should include their rate or project quote when applying.

Role Overview

  • The Event Photographer and Videographer will capture the RexyWear Dog Fashion Show professionally across all three event days.

  • This role is responsible for capturing runway moments, product close-ups, dog and owner interactions, backstage preparation, audience reactions, MC moments, stage visuals, and branded event coverage.

  • The ideal person can capture dogs in motion, work in a live event environment, move quickly, and deliver polished photo and video content for social media, website, press, and future marketing use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capture photo and video coverage of the RexyWear Dog Fashion Show across all three event days.

  • Film runway walks, product close-ups, dog and owner moments, backstage preparation, audience reactions, MC moments, stage screen visuals, and grand finale.

  • Capture vertical video suitable for Instagram Reels, Stories, and short-form social media content.

  • Capture high-quality still photography for social media, website use, future marketing, press, and event recap content.

  • Work with the Social Media and Campaign Manager to follow a shot list and content priorities.

  • Work with the Event Fashion Show Manager to understand show order, timing, backstage flow, and must-capture moments.

  • Create a same-day or next-morning edited montage for each event day.

  • Organize raw files by day, dog, and content type where possible.

  • Provide edited photo selections and short video clips after each event day.

  • Create a final polished event recap video after the full three-day event.

  • Deliver files in an organized format that RexyWear can use for future marketing.

  • Ensure footage reflects RexyWear’s premium, polished, and design-led brand positioning.

Required Outcome

  • The Event Photographer and Videographer is responsible for delivering professional visual coverage that allows RexyWear to use the event long after it ends.

  • The final content should support social media, website updates, press opportunities, future marketing, partnership proposals, and overall brand credibility.

Required Deliverables

For each event day:

  • 30 to 60 second vertical daily montage

  • Selection of edited photos

  • Short vertical clips of key runway moments

  • Backstage and behind-the-scenes content

  • Product detail shots

  • Organized raw photo and video files

 

After the full event:

  • Final 60 to 90 second event recap video

  • Final edited photo gallery

  • Organized raw files from all three days

  • Optional longer highlight edit, if agreed in advance

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to the Social Media and Campaign Manager for content needs and shot list priorities.

  • Coordinates with the Event Fashion Show Manager for show timing, access, and must-capture moments.

  • Final creative approval remains with Bassel Zoueiter, Founder and Owner of RexyWear.

Required Background and Experience

  • Professional or strong portfolio experience in event photography and videography.

  • Experience capturing live events, runway, performances, brand activations, or fast-moving subjects.

  • Ability to capture dogs and people in motion.

  • Strong understanding of lighting, framing, audio considerations, and event coverage.

  • Ability to deliver vertical video content for social media.

  • Ability to edit short-form video quickly and professionally.

  • Must have own camera, video, audio, lighting, and editing equipment as needed.

  • Availability for all three event days.

Recommended Experience

  • Experience filming pets, fashion events, lifestyle brands, trade shows, expos, or stage productions.

  • Experience creating Instagram Reels, recap videos, promotional montages, or event highlight videos.

  • Experience working with small brands or premium consumer products.

  • Comfort working in busy indoor event environments.

  • Ability to deliver both polished marketing assets and real-time social media content
